LEDTEK is a brand by JC Eventtechnik GmbH, as well as Germany’s number one address for LED technology. We sell TÜV certified LED walls, and have years of technical expertise at disposal. Always up to date, LEDTEK offers optimal solutions for individual demands and every budget.
LEDTEK offers, besides TÜV certified LED walls and a good network, years of technical expertise and optimal solutions for every budget. All LEDTEK products are available on stock and are therefore available to the customer in the shortest possible time.

We offer you three options of repair shipment. In the LEDTEK service portal you can select your preferred option:
- 48h spare parts service
The 48h spare parts service is a possibility of a quick remedy for unexpected failures. If one of your parts is damaged just before an event, LEDTEK will advance the corresponding spare part and send it to you within the next 48 hours with nationwide shipping. Meanwhile, you send the defective part to LEDTEK for inspection and repair. If the inspection reveals a defect that is covered under warranty (Bring-in warranty) , the repair remains free of charge to you. If the defect is not covered by warranty, you will be charged for the cost of repair. LEDTEK will retain the repaired part. You keep the replacement part you requested.
- With repair release up to 65 Euro
Up to a damage value of 65 Euro we receive a general repair release from you. After checking the damage for its suitability under warranty and the amount of damage incurred, we will repair your defective part up to a repair value of 65 euros without contacting you first. If one of the parts sent by you has a higher damage value, we will contact and inform you. Then you can let us know if you want to bear the higher repair costs or if you prefer disposal. The latter will be done by LEDTEK at no cost to you. If the defect is covered by the warranty, you will not incur any repair costs. On the other hand, if the defect is not covered by the warranty, you will pay the cost of the repair. The warranty is always a so-called bring-in warranty.
- With estimate of costs for 15 euros
If you are unsure about the cost of the repair, we will provide you with an estimate for 15 euros. After LEDTEK receives the defective parts you sent for the estimate, we will check the damage for warranty eligibility. If one of the sent parts shows damage, a service representative will contact you with the calculated estimate. You will then give us the approval for the repair depending on the case. If the defect is covered by the warranty, you will not incur any repair costs. If, on the other hand, the damage is not covered by the warranty, you will pay the cost of the repair. The warranty is always a so-called bring-in warranty.
As a solid basis for the use of our products, all purchases from LEDTEK are backed by the 3-year LEDTEK warranty. This is a so-called bring-in warranty. In case of problems that occurred without any external influence and through no fault of the customer, the repair will be carried out free of charge within this period. In particular, there are no costs for spare parts and repair. However, depending on the case, costs for travel, accommodation and general catering will be charged. The warranty period is 3 years and starts from the date of conclusion of the contract.
The 3-year LEDTEK warranty is always the so-called bring-in warranty. The bring-in warranty regulates the warranty case, which requires the bringing of the defective part to the guarantor (LEDTEK) for repair by the guarantee holder and its pick-up by the guarantee holder after repair. If the defective part is an item that naturally cannot be brought to LEDTEK on site, it is possible for LEDTEK employees to travel to the site. Depending on the case, travel costs for expenses and accommodation are incurred, which are to be paid by the customer in each case. The spare parts are free of charge for the customer. For an additional maintenance contract, please contact LEDTEK personally.
The warranty covers only those cases which are not caused by the customer and are the result of a defective characteristic of the product itself. Damage caused by the customer is not covered by the warranty without exception.
For the costs of a repair that is not subject to the warranty, flat-rate costs are incurred, which you can find in our cost table in our Legal Notice.
With the 48h spare parts service, we respond to short-term failures with a quick remedy. For example, if you are about to hold an event and notice a defect in one of your parts, report the damage via the LEDTEK service portal under the heading 48h spare parts service. The replacement of defective parts is carried out by LEDTEK in advance if the spare parts are shipped nationwide. The spare part is shipped on the day of notification and usually reaches the recipient’s address within the next 48 hours. In case of shipment to other EU countries, the shipment will be delayed accordingly. There are no costs for the spare parts and the repair if the defect is covered by the warranty. As soon as there is a defect that is not subject to the warranty, the customer must pay the repair costs incurred. After LEDTEK repairs the defective part you sent in, we will keep the repaired product.
Service 2.0 is LEDTEK’s new service portal. On an internet platform one can send e.g. a faulty LED module by means of a damage report directly to LEDTEK. You profit directly from our 48h spare parts service.
High-end LED technology and a low price do not exclude another. LEDTEK focuses on the important: a small portfolio with the best products adapted to your requirements. Due to this focus we can minimize our costs and offer you an excellent product for an unbeatable price.

The Tri-Frame system consists of a three-point truss that was constructed solely for our P4+WH PRO. The newly developed Tri-Frame system of our PRO series provides an even simpler, safer and faster installation. Thanks to its depth, the triangular framework structure provides safety and stability, even with strong winds. Depending on the wind zone, span widths of up to 12 meters can be reached, without the need to fasten the LEDTEK LED wall horizontally several times. Our Tri-Frame system is the basis for the use of a Layher construction outdoors.
With our Rental Network 2.0 we are offering the possibility that every LEDTEK customer can expand their already existing LEDTEK cabinets uncomplicatedly through rental.
The individual series of the LEDTEK cabinets are in stock, which enables a short delivery period. Should the desired LED cabinet not be in stock, there is the possibility of bridging with an alternative. Like this, there will not be a disadvantage in use until the desired LED cabinet arrives. Furthermore, individual LEDTEK LED cabinets can easily be rented through our Rental Network 2.0.

Developed by us and tested by the TÜV. This system is suitable for permanent installations in- and outdoors. The specialty is in its installation. The individual LED cabinets are integrated fast and easily, which makes an exchange later easily accessible from the front. The front service saves you time: you will not have to dismantle the entire construction for repairments. The LEDBRIX system makes this visibly easy.
Yes. Our LEDBRIX cabinets offer an excellent image and colour quality for pin sharp advertising. Extremely bright, and with that even in bright daylight well visible. With a first-class product standard, they fulfil the EMV-guideline 2014/30/EU, as well as the low voltage guideline 2014/35/EU.
To ensure a high-quality standard, the LEDBRIX cabinets are CE certified regarding electromagnetical compatibility. This certification proves the ability of a technical device not to disturb other devices by unwanted electrical or electromagnetical effects, or to be disturbed by other devices.
Thanks to an intelligent regulation and an external light sensor the LEDBRIX systems can be controlled and operated in dependence of the lighting conditions of the environment (e.g. day/night).
The Plug & Play solution for our LEDBRIX indoor and outdoor system is characterised by a smart complete package. Not only statics and production drawing but also connection cable, cast aluminium frame, a pre-configured video controller with light sensor and the three year warranty are already included in the price.

It doesn’t get any better than this!
Horizontal and vertical viewing angle determine when colours and details remain entirely visible for the viewer. The bigger the angle, the more stable brightness and contrast stay with a sloping viewing perspective (left, right, top and bottom). The viewing angle maximum for the contrast is reached when the drop of the contrast ratio makes 1/5 of the initial value. It is important to have as large an angle horizontally and vertically as possible, so that the colours are displayed over the entire panel surface without any distortions. Modern SMD LED walls have a horizontal and a vertical viewing angle of 140°. Outside the viewing angle the colours tear off, the content of the display is often perceived as a bright (often pink) area.
The minimal viewing distance determines from what distance (m) the viewer does no longer recognize the individual LEDs but experiences the display as a homogenous area. As a guideline: the minimal viewing distance in meters is proportional to the pixel pitch in mm.
The difference to the minimal viewing distance is that the maximal distance in meters determines how big an LED wall should be approximately, so that one can make something out from afar. The guideline says that the viewing distance maximum to an LED wall per square meter increases by the factor 10. This means: the LED wall should with a distance of 100m be at least 10m2, so one can still make out details.

The NovaStar Light Sensor NS060 is used with the according NovaStar controlling and multifunction card and measures the environmental brightness of the LED wall (LUX value). This function is necessary especially with billboards installed on outer walls that have to adapt to the lighting conditions.

The NovaStar MFN300-B is a multifunction-controller for different connectivity. The device can be looped into the signal chain at the desired placement. Connectivity is also offered for light and temperature sensors. The controller plays up to 8 external devices via Relais.

LED wall 1×1
LED is the abbreviation for Light Emitting Diode. LED screens consist of multiple small light diodes placed closely side by side. Each LED emits three colours: red, green, and blue. The working LED radiates almost no heat; thus, it has less problems with cooling down.
RGB is an abbreviation for Red, Green and Blue. This colour scheme profits from the ability of mixing all visible colours based on these three basic colours. It is used in almost any kind of display, also in LED walls.
An LED cabinet is the mechanical combination of LED modules.
The LED module is the circuit board on which the LEDs are assembled.
The individual LED cabinet has several components: cabinet frame, LED module, handles, a horizontal and a vertical fastener, a test button, cabinet lid and a locating pin.
A LED wall is the mechanical combination of LED modules into a uniform image.
A batch is usually the amount of something that was produced in one pass. In our case it is the batch of a LEDTEK LED wall series, e.g. the P3+BL v3 = version 3 of the LEDTEK P3+BL.
The scaler’s task is to adapt the image to the LED wall. The image is scaled in adaption to the format of the LED wall. It does not affect the quality of the image in a negative way.
The flight case is a sturdy box for the safe and correct transport of LEDTEK’s LED cabinets. The case safes the cabinets from dirt, humidity and damage.
LEDTEK’s touring case enables to connect and cable the LED cabinets while they are still in the case. Afterwards one can place one or several touring cases underneath the flying bar to attach the wall directly from the case to the frame.
The brightness of an LED wall is usually indicated in Nits. 1 Nit is equivalent to the light a candle produces in a completely dark room. For indoor use we recommend LED walls with 1000-1400 Nits, for outdoor use starting at around 4500 Nits to be able to cope with direct sunlight and to create a well-readable, high-contrast image.
A load cell is a technical device that is used for the identification of various forces. Different load cells measure different forces in the corresponding effective direction and work as a scale.
The flying bar serves for the correct and secure fastening of a hanging LED wall. The capacity of a flying bar for LED cabinets is determined by a static calculation. The static calculation by EXPO Engineering can be looked at on the product page of the corresponding LEDTEK series.
Flying bars are available in the following lengths: 0.5m, 1.0m, 1.5m, 2.0m, 2.5m.
The modular design of LEDTEK LED video walls ensures optimal size flexibility to suit your needs. The standard sizes of a single module are 500x500mm and 1000x500mm (HxW). They are each about 80mm deep. There are no limits to the top in theory. In practice, however, an LED setup has to deal with winds indoors as well as outdoors, which can endanger its stability. This is because as the number of modules increases, the LED wall inevitably becomes more unstable.
In order to prevent a fall, the wall can be secured, for example, via the rear side. Together with EXPO Engineering, LEDTEK has developed the Tri-Frame for the PRO series. A three-point truss that is mounted on the back of the modules to stabilize them. Another possibility to absorb the wind force is to secure it via a so-called Layher scaffold. In indoor areas the flying frame holds a maximum of 13 meters of LED wall.
LEDTEK offers you a static proof for each securing system (insert operating instructions). The wall can withstand unsteady weather conditions and unpredictable hall winds.
Through an intelligent control unit and an external light sensor, all LEDTEK LED walls can be controlled and switched according to the lighting conditions of the environment (resp. day/night).
LEDTEK LED walls should operate in temperatures of max. 50°C and min. -20°C. LED cabinets should not be exposed to heat nor cold that it is not within the frame of the stated surrounding temperatures.
All LEDTEK series are suitable for continuous operation due to the use of high-quality components.
The operating costs of LED walls depend on different factors, e.g. the light intensity and the way of use. An experiment with our LEDBRIX system will help to clear up the matter.
For the construction of an LED wall, several event situations and environmental influences need to be considered. Due to this, there are various possibilities how one can set up the individual LED cabinets. In general, a difference needs to be made between a standing and a hanging construction. One needs to consider the right securing of the wall.
For the construction of a standing indoor wall we use the Prolyte LSU stand. Like this, the walls can be built up up to 6 meters high.
The installation outside is a little more complicated, as although the LED installation inside also needs to cope with winds, the use outdoors obviously needs to be looked at more closely. To defy wind and weather, the LED cabinets need to be secured especially strong. Outdoors, the use of e.g. a Layher scaffold or a Tri-Frame of our PRO-series should be considered.

Most of us probably know a flying LED wall, but the answer is: no. The installation of flying LED walls works with a Layher scaffold. An LED wall does not need to be flying but can instead be installed standing with the right material, e.g. a Prolyte LSU stand.
The Prolyte LSU stand serves for a correct and secure installation of a standing LEDTEK LED wall. The Prolyte LSU stand supports with a combination of basic element, connecting bar and another connecting unit each individual LED cabinet.
The difference between the Prolyte LSU stand and the Layher construction is the place of use of an LED wall. The Prolyte LSU stand serves a safe installation of a standing LED wall indoors. The Layher construction serves a safe construction of a hanging LED wall outdoors.
The Tri-Frame system of our PRO-Series is compatible for a construction of an Outdoor LED wall with a Layher construction.
The constructions of LED walls outdoors are so called “flying constructions”. For flying constructions there are special legal, static and constructive demands. The official construction book is available for different constructions of LEDTEK LED walls with a Layher construction.
The Layher video stands are the perfect solution for the safe build-up of LEDTEK’s PRO-series with the Tri-Frame. The supporting construction consists of the Allround series material which convinces with its high load capacity, as well as the quick build-up and dismantling. Additional options for hangers, PA, roofing or podiums are possible here without much effort. The extensive construction book is available for all Layher constructions.

All LEDTEK series are in stock. Usually, unless agreed otherwise, the purchased products are picked up directly in our warehouse in Göttingen. Hence a long delivery time is excluded.
The order includes the following items: LEDTEK LED cabinets, connection plates (butterflies), a static calculation, and the device training by LEDTEK at our office in Göttingen.
For the complete construction of a LEDTEK LED wall, additional material is necessary, amongst others the following: powerCon connecting cable 20 A, powerCon connection cable, data cable, LEDTEK flying bar, NovaStar sending unit, LEDTEK flight case, static calculation of the according series etc.
The software for programming a LEDTEK LED wall is included and distinguishes itself by its high user-friendliness.

LED wall leasing
Leasing is a financing model that works similar to a regular lease contract. The LEDTEK LED wall is financed by the lessor abcfinance and handed over to the lessee by the payment of a monthly fee. The LEDTEK LED wall remains the property of the lessor.
In short: as the lessor we take care of the acquisition costs and you can use the investment item unrestrictedly. When the lease is over, the item goes back to the lessor and can be purchased by you or a third person at a residual value. The advantage: as lessee you can adapt flexibly to the technological change without having to risk any expensive acquisition costs. Furthermore, in the best case you generate the necessary earnings to cover the leasing rate with the leasing item over the entire period.
By leasing, the liquidity of a firm does not get restricted, but is expanded.
The span of the leasing contract is flexible within the legal allowance. This can be adapted to the needs of the customer. All periods therefore need to be discussed individually when concluding the contract.
If you want to stay flexible, abcfinance can offer you a cancellable leasing contract. You can cancel the contract at an agreed point in time. At the point of cancellation, a final payment, that was determined at the beginning of the contract, is due.
A prolonging of an actual leasing contract is possible under certain factors. If this is wished, you can contact the leasing partner directly.
The leasing rate is to be payed by the agreed date, the 1st or 15th of each month. The payment goes directly to the leasing firm.
The answer is no, as the speciality with leasing is that as a lessee, you do not pay off the LedTek LED wall. Only a monthly fee for the use is due.

Nit (unit symbol nt) is a unit of the light density. The word derives from Latin “nitere”: to shine. Nit is another expression for Candela per square meter. Candela (lat. candle) is an SI unit for light intensity. The light density of an area determines with what brightness the eye witnesses this area; it has a direct reference to the optical sensory perception. The human eye can realize a light density of a maximum of 20,000 cd/m2.
SMD means Surface-Mount Device and is an electronical component. An SMD display is an LED cabinet on which the red, green, and blue diode are attached bundled to the LED module.
Nowadays, most LED walls are built of SMD LEDs. An SMD LED pixel consists of three LEDs in the colours red, green, and blue, which are emerged to one single component, which is connected directly with the circuit board.
The fundamental advantages of SMD technology are the low depth and the from this resulting higher viewing angle (in part 140 degrees per horizontal and vertical). Since 2014, LEDTEK has been using almost exclusively SMD LEDs and offers pixel pitches starting from 2.6mm and from 0,93mm for our LEDBRIX. SMD LED series are nowadays almost always the better choice. Even outdoors, SMDs provide enough brightness and will replace DIP LEDs over the next years to a large extent. Furthermore, SMD LED walls offer in contrast to DIP LED walls qualitatively more high-end, flicker free and more stable images.
The frame rate is a term from film and video technology. It indicates the number of individual pictures that are taken or played per time span and is mostly specified by the unit fps (frames per second) or Hz (Hertz). The human brain realizes sequent images, starting at around 14 to 16 images per second, as a moving (but not necessarily smooth) scene.
To fill a LEDTEK LED wall with life, a programming beforehand is necessary. The broadcast eventually happens via a NovaStar controller.
LEDTEK offers all LED wall series as BL- and WH-series. LED cabinets of the BL-series offer a standard brightness up to ca 1500 Nits. All WH cabinets are offered as a daylight-suitable series with a brightness of ca. 4500 Nits. For more than 85 percent of all usages, the standard brightness is sufficient. However, if the LED wall is supposed to be exposed to extremely bright environments, like shop windows or outside in direct sunlight, the purchase of a WH-series can be reasonable. LEDTEK outdoor series are waterproof.
Usually LEDTEK LED cabinets to not have a difference in brightness. However, if this should be the case, it is because they were not part of the same batch. The brightness value for an entire LEDTEK LED wall can be determined e.g. with the controller.
It is difficult to determine the lifespan of an LED wall. Several factors play a role, e.g. the daily use, but also the environment of the LED wall. Bright images, as well as a high light intensity are a strain on the LED wall, of course more than dark images and a lower luminosity.
A videowall, consisting of several LCD screens, is clearly determined by one thing: black bars where the screens are placed next to one another. It divides the overall image into single, small segments. Here, LED walls have a clear advantage. They consist of single modules and cabinets that create an overall image; however, these stay invisible to the viewer, as the individual LED cabinets do not have these black bars along their edges.
If one of the LCD screens of a videowall is broken, the overall image is damaged as well. A whole segment stays black or shows some kind of fault. In this case, the broken screen needs to be exchanged. Should one of the diodes of an LED wall break, thus one of the many small lights on a wall, one might not even notice it in most cases and one can proceed as planned. In case the malfunction is noticeable, or several diodes are broken, the exchange of the cabinet is easily doable.
A big advantage of the LED cabinets is in their flexibility. Besides walls in different shapes, like especially long or scale-like installations, especially big installations are possible as well. Their implementation is in comparison to big videowalls especially easy to do.
The resolution of an LED wall is indicated in pixel (number of image points). It depends on the pixel pitch and the size of the LED wall. With the number of LEDs per square meter, the resolution increases accordingly. The display of the shown images improves, but the price per square meter of the LED wall increases as well.
Like this, an LED wall with a surface of e.g. 5x3m, with a pixel pitch of 2.6mm, has a resolution of 1920(w)x1152(h) pixels. Hence the resolution depends on the wall and its own pixel pitch.
The smallest unit to define an image point is a pixel. Three LEDs in the primary colours red, green and blue create a unity, a pixel. The more pixels available, the higher the resolution of the LED wall.
The pixel density is a unit for the number of LED lamps that are used per square meter. With a display size of e.g. 1x1m and a pixel pitch of 10 mm, there are 100 LED pixels used in each height and width. This means: the more pixels for the same size, the higher the resolution.
The NovaStar Image Booster helps with enabling more detailed image contents and more realistic colours. The capability of an LED wall can thus be utilized fully. You can read about the installation process of the NovaStar Image Booster here.
The Scan-Mode provides information on how many single LEDs are played by an IC. The mode is quoted in fractions. It means e.g. that with a ½ scan one IC controls two LED lamps, and with a ¼ scan four LEDs are played by an IC. With an increasing number of LEDs that are played by an IC, the brightness of the LEDs decreases. By using more expensive ICs, higher clock rates and lower scan-modes are realizable.
Horizontal and vertical viewing angle determine when colours and details remain entirely visible for the viewer. The bigger the angle, the more stable brightness and contrast stay with a sloping viewing perspective (left, right, top and bottom). The viewing angle maximum for the contrast is reached when the drop of the contrast ratio makes 1/5 of the initial value. It is important to have as large an angle horizontally and vertically as possible, so that the colours are displayed over the entire panel surface without any distortions. Modern SMD LED walls have a horizontal and a vertical viewing angle of 140°. Outside the viewing angle the colours tear off, the content of the display is often perceived as a bright (often pink) area.
The minimal viewing distance determines from what distance (m) the viewer does no longer recognize the individual LEDs but experiences the display as a homogenous area. As a guideline: the minimal viewing distance in meters is proportional to the pixel pitch in mm.
The difference to the minimal viewing distance is that the maximal distance in meters determines how big an LED wall should be approximately, so that one can make something out from afar. The guideline says that the viewing distance maximum to an LED wall per square meter increases by the factor 10. This means: the LED wall should with a distance of 100m be at least 10m2, so one can still make out details.
When constructing a LEDTEK LED wall, the various event situations and environmental influences are to consider compulsorily. This is why there are numerous possibilities to set up the individual LED cabinets. The correct protection is to keep in mind. A LEDTEK LED wall that was constructed incorrectly resp. badly secured can quickly become a health or life threat.
Statics consider the environmental factors like wind zones, place, etc. Without statics, a secure construction of an LED wall cannot be guaranteed.
DIN resp. DIN-norm is the abbreviation for “Deutsches Institute für Normung” (engl. German Institute for Standardisation). DIN stands for a voluntarily developed standardized standard of material and immaterial objects.
The DIN EN-62471 (equivalent to the European guideline 2006/25/EG) determines what the criteria for grading a light source are resp. what endangering might result. The assessment is not only for the emitted light.
Tips & Tricks
The correct storage of a LEDTEK LED wall can only be provided by an existing flight case. Wrong storage might cause damage on the individual LEDTEK LED cabinets.
Our WH-LED cabinets are the perfect fit for outdoor events. As they are used outside, they defy wind and weather. After a successful use of the outdoor walls it is important to transport and store them correctly. You find more information on the procedure on our blog.
The transport of the individual LED cabinets should happen solely in the according flight case.
LEDTEK LED walls are exposed to dirt in their daily routine. Imagine a festival, thousands of visitors dancing and raising dust during a dry summer day. However, the dust apparently does not leave the wall entirely clean. To be able to use the walls for a long period and without any difficulties, the wall needs to be cleaned carefully. Usually it is not problematic to connect LEDTEK LED walls of different generations. Although the according production process can cause differences in the pixel density, it is no disadvantage.
